The vaquita is the world’s smallest porpoise

An evaluation of the world’s most endangered marine mammal, the vaquita, has discovered that there are at most 19 of the animals left alive within the wild.
Vaquitas are small porpoises that reside solely in a nook of the Gulf of California close to Mexico. Their numbers have dwindled drastically over the previous 7 years, leaving them critically endangered. A report revealed in March concluded that there have been simply 10 of the animals left, however which will have been an underestimate.
